In 1970s, when photos could only be black and white, Cheng Kuang began making its presence known through local radio broadcasts and established its reputation with the flagship product " Cheng Kuang Medicated Plaster".

The Cheng Kuang Medicated Plaster is formulated based on the refined prescription from the Ming Dynasty medical  book【Standards of Pattern/Syndrome Identification and Treatment】.The Chinese name of Cheng Kuang Medicated Plaster originates from the book's description of the materials with pure and refined texture, likening it to “as pure as drawn gold”. Due to its natural ingredients, elastic adherence, and superior efficacy and quality compared to similar products, it quickly became the best-selling pain relief product in Taiwan upon its launch. Remaining the highly sought-after products for half a century, it stands as a classic product of Cheng Kuang, endorsed by renowned figures raging from artists like Su Chu, Ching Hsiung, Chin Tu, Wen Ying, Peng Chia-Chia, Lin Mei-Hsiu, Tsai A-Ga to the famous character of Pili glove puppetry show.

• Cheng Kuang Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. was established, becoming the first scientific manufacturer of adhesive medicated patches in Taiwan.

• Spray/ External use liquid series were introduced  to be more user-friendly to industrial workers.
