The Mazu Pilgrimage: Cheng Kuang's Charity Fundraising Campaign Begins

At the Dalan Temple in Dajia Town, Taichung County, the annual eight-day-seven-night Mazu pilgrimage warm-up event was held, kicking off this year's Mazu Festival. In the Mazu pilgrimage area, starting at 6:00 PM each day, there will be group cooperative charity sales, charity clinics, creative spinning tops, glove puppetry performances, and fun games. This symbolized the combination of academia, business, and religion, conveying the positive image of Cheng-Kuang through the players' sunny and enthusiastic appearance. At Wanlai Elementary School, a "Victorious Spinning Top" performance was arranged. Four professional spinning top masters performed and taught various spinning top techniques.

On the 28th, when Mazu was relocated to Changhua Tienhou Temple, during the three charity sales sessions, Wu Chunyi, the chairman of Changhua Association for the Mentally Handicapped, expressed that the charity sale event organized by Cheng-Kuang was very meaningful. It attracted a crowd of pilgrims to buy goods, combining charity sales with various local groups, which is highly commendable for its practice of giving back to the community.
