Kaohsiung International Marathon
The "Kaohsiung International Marathon," renowned as the "Most Friendly City Marathon in Taiwan," started on February 16th on the Kaohsiung Sports Boulevard. Participants were free to use Cheng Kuang's traditional Chinese pain relief spray and natural herbal massage cream to enhance their sports experience. Sponsor Cheng Kuang Pharmaceutical was invited by the city government to cheer on the runners and attend the sponsor award ceremony.
Mayor Chen Chu of Kaohsiung stated that this event has built a reputation in the international sports community over the past four editions. This year, a total of 17 participants from countries including Japan, South Korea, China, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada joined, attracting 35,000 participants. The race course featured announcements in Chinese, English, and Japanese, with a total prize money of up to 1.5 million New Taiwan Dollars. The event started and finished at the internationally acclaimed National Stadium, passing through famous scenic spots in Kaohsiung, inviting everyone to immerse themselves in the beauty of Kaohsiung and feel the local enthusiasm.
