2015 Daiyu Taichung International Marathon Invitational

The "2015 Daiyu Taichung International Marathon Invitational Tournament" will take place on November 22 (Sunday) at the Taichung City Government.

The Daiyu Taichung International Marathon Invitational Tournament is the only urban marathon in Taichung and the only one with a participation of over ten thousand people. It is organized by the Taipei-based Daiyu International Charity Foundation in collaboration with the Taichung City Government. This year marks the third edition, and to better embody the spirit of an urban marathon, the organizers have invited Cheng-Kuang Pharmaceuticals to join in the event.

This year's Daiyu Taichung International Marathon Invitational Tournament will strengthen route management and track supplies. A completely new route has also been planned, aiming to create an event of international standards and promote Greater Taichung.

The ambassadors for this year's event are the beautiful anchorwoman Xu Peiyi and the prospective Olympic marathoner He Jinping. They are making their first appearance to unveil the new route for this year's event. In order to better align with the spirit of an urban marathon, the major landmarks of Taichung have been incorporated into the event, including the well-known Rainbow Bridge, Autumn Red Valley, and the National Taichung Theater. He Jinping mentioned that this year's route is different from previous years, as it allows participants to take in the distinctive landmarks of Taichung. Not only that, the route is challenging yet quite safe, and he invites everyone to come and experience it firsthand.

Peiyi, who has a regular running habit, mentioned that this is her first time serving as an ambassador for an international marathon event. Although she initially wanted to challenge the full marathon, she wasn't prepared yet, so she reluctantly gave up the award for first-time marathoners and decided to go for the half marathon instead. In addition, Peiyi also mentioned that she is looking forward to the abundant supplies provided for this year's event and hopes everyone will come together to support it.

The ambassador for public welfare, Jacky Liu, has also made a special appearance to support this year's Daiyu Marathon. He stated that the Daiyu Marathon is a highly renowned event in the Taichung area with thousands of participants. In addition to organizing the marathon for three consecutive years with both financial and physical support, the Daiyu International Charity Foundation also generously donated to the Eden Foundation's Slow Flight Angels, hoping to use the influence of the event to encourage fellow runners to show kindness and engage in public welfare.
