The 5th Beigang Mazu Cup National Marathon
On December 25, 2016 (Sunday), at 6:00 AM, the starting gun was fired at Beigang Junior High School.
The Mazu Cup National Marathon at Chaotian Temple celebrates its 5th year, featuring abundant local specialties and exquisite Mazu medals. The well-planned route leaves a lasting impression on all participants, generating enthusiastic discussions online.
In addition to maintaining its traditional local charm and strong sense of community, this year's event introduced a "Good Luck Draw" activity. Among the prizes were a valuable gold Mazu statue worth 80,000 NTD, as well as 150 other prizes including an iPhone 7 and a LCD TV.
Participants praised the value of the souvenirs and medals provided by the organizers. The final sprint took place on the "Pilgrimage Avenue" in front of Chaotian Temple, where runners were welcomed by the public with applause, making them feel like stars.
Through word of mouth among marathon enthusiasts, the Beigang Mazu Cup has become a must-attend event.
