The 2017 Taiwan Lantern Festival Marathon kicks off in grand style!
The 2017 Taiwan Lantern Festival took place in Yunlin, Taiwan. The Huwei Town Huwei Creek Urban Development Association responded to the festival by organizing the "2017 Taiwan Lantern Festival Marathon." The race started at 7:00 AM on February 12, 2017, at the Huwei University of Science and Technology field, with approximately 5,000 enthusiastic runners participating in four categories: Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K.
Despite facing the strongest cold wave of the year, the runners' enthusiasm was not affected by the frigid weather. Early in the morning, the streets of Huwei were filled with the running crowd, showcasing the passion of the people of Yunlin.
The event also invited Cheng-Kuang to participate, providing Cheng-Kuang health gift sets to lucky runners for soothing any muscle soreness.
