Dajia Mazu Pilgrimage Guide Part 1
The Dajia Mazu Pilgrimage is about to commence. During these nine days of
the pilgrimage, it is crucial for devotees to be equipped with some
important information.
Essential Item 1: Breathable Footwear and Socks
A pair of soft, comfortable, and breathable shoes, such as cushioned or athletic shoes, along with a pair of breathable and moisture-wicking cotton socks, preferably toe socks, can help reduce friction between toes.
Essential Item 2: Sun Protection Clothing and Hat
The trio of essentials includes a sun hat, raincoat (or umbrella), and a towel; you'll be prepared for sunny days, heavy rain, and sweating without worry.
Essential Item 3: Adequate Hydration
Keep yourself hydrated at all times to prevent heatstroke, dizziness, and fatigue from dehydration.
Essential Item 4: Mosquito Repellent and Sunscreen
Prevent mosquito bites. Apply sunscreen regularly to avoid sunburn turning into tan lines.
Essential Item 5: Mazu App
The Mazu App allows you to track Mazu's movements and informs you of Mazu's current location!
Essential Item 6: National Health Insurance Card
Extremely important! Always carry your National Health Insurance card with you. It's convenient for emergencies and seeking medical attention.
