2017 Taiwan Marathon in Miaoli attracts runners from more than 20 countries

2017臺灣馬拉松in苗栗 吸引20多國跑者參與 The Taiwan Marathon in Miaoli is set to kick off on October 15, 2017. This event has attracted participants from over 20 countries including France, Australia, Romania, Colombia, Poland, Czech Republic, UK, Japan, Canada, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.


County Magistrate Xu Yaochang stated that the marathon route is flat and comfortable, boasting some of the most picturesque scenery in the nation. It is considered one of the highest-quality tracks in the country.


The aim is to allow both domestic and international athletes to get acquainted with the local culture of Miaoli, and it is hoped that the event will serve as a platform to promote the beauty of Miaoli's mountains and waters through sports.


The event site will also feature local agricultural product displays and sales, promotion of Miaoli's top ten souvenirs, as well as tourism promotion.


It is also recommended to take a half-day tour of Miaoli after the race, to enjoy the beautiful mountain cityscape and savor local cuisine.


Visitors to Miaoli can experience top-notch routes, breathtaking scenery, and purchase souvenirs.


In addition to the comfortable track and beautiful scenery, the organizers have arranged for more than 10 cardiologists to be stationed at 8 first aid stations, ensuring the safety of the runners. They have also designated the well-established Taiwanese brand Cheng Kuang Pharmaceuticals to provide relief for sore runners, ensuring that the athletes receive professional care and post-race recovery to wash away their fatigue along the way.
